The Best Exercises for Tight Hips (As Seen on NBC News Better)

Many of my private weight loss clients are work-a-holic CEO’s who don’t have a lot of time to spend at the gym – or let’s face it, standing up! We’ve all been told how bad sitting can be for our health, which is why I came up with these 5 stretches to loosen your hips. 

Working from an office, plane, or couch all have one main thing in common – the fact that you’re usually sitting! Danny Johnson, a corrective exercise specialist and personal trainer, notes that sitting can even go as far to pull parts of your lower back out of alignment. That’s why it’s essential to stretch and loosen up your hips!

Abdominal Workout Plan for Summer (As Seen on NBC News Better)

Whether you’re a fan of doing ab crunches or you like attending Pilates classes, I created an amazing ab workout routine for NBC News Better!

 

I love this ab workout routine because I give you a variety of positions in which do to the ab exercises. Many of my private weight loss clients can’t stand regular crunches because they hurt their necks or they get bored of them.

Workouts for Your 50’s (As Seen on The Doctors)

As you age, it can be difficult to find a workout that won’t over exert your body, but will still make an impact. One fantastic way to do this is to start small and work your way up. This little trick will work for increasing reps when lifting weights as well as yoga poses! 

As a certified personal fitness coach, I always recommend that my clients who are in their 50’s start with a lighter weight and slowly add repetitions in order to avoid injury. Try doing 5 reps today, then work on doing 10 reps the next time you work out. It’s all about progress!

Sports Bras for Every Price Point (As Seen on NBC News Better)

Spring is here and along with it might come your desire to start or even recommit to a fitness routine. Although new gym shoes are important, so is what you’re wearing and how comfortable it is. The comfort level of the sports bra your wearing can really affect your workout. Here’s some info on how to find your best bra.

Finding a good sports bra is tough and can be affected by many things such as your bust size, if you’re running inside or outside and the intensity of the workout.

I talked to Dr. Bradford Butler, chiropractor, about how a larger bust effects your body during a workout and how to find the best sports bra for your body type.

Then to get an insiders opinion I asked, Caryn Lubetsky, an Endurance Athlete and an Ultra Marathon Runner World Record Holder and Nieve Corrigan, professional ballerina with the New York City Ballet and World-Class Free Climber Steph Davis about what makes them choose a sports bra.
