EAT THIS NOT THAT: The consequences of eating too much fast food

We all love to treat ourselves to fast food every once in a while, but how do we know when we’ve had enough? It’s often difficult to judge whether or not we’ve gone overboard. 

Too much fast food can make it extremely hard to lose weight and can even cause excessive bloating and skin issues. Some fast food meals contain half the amount of sodium you should be consuming in a day. That’s why it’s so important to keep track of how often you’re eating fast food.

Walks and runs in the cold weather may seem like a drag, but getting some fresh air and exercise in the winter months is essential for our well being. But before we get moving in the brisk weather, it’s important to warm up our bodies.

Stretching and warming up before walking or running is always important. But in the winter, it’s critical. I’ve prepared a full body stretching routine that can be performed before a cold walk or run. It’ll also get you motivated to keep moving!

The workout world has gone virtual! And there are some benefits as well as some challenges. On one hand, virtual workouts allow you the convenience of being wherever you want whenever you want while working out. On the other hand, there’s no trainer to ensure you’re performing your exercises correctly.

As a health and fitness trainer, I’ve been able to pick up on the common mistakes lots of people make while exercising on their own. Even the moves we are most familiar with, like lunges and planks, are often performed incorrectly.

Apples are a popular fruit, and for a good reason! They’re packed with fiber and vitamin C, offering us a ton of nutritional benefits. However, we sometimes go overboard with foods we love and know are good for us. That’s why it’s important to know when enough is enough.

I offer some advice on how many apples is too many and the reasons as to why. Apples, if eaten too often, can actually restrict your weight loss and damage your teeth.

Looking to track your fitness progress? Weight isn’t everything! There are so many other signs to look out for that show your progress. It’s important to continue to work on your fitness goals even if the number on the scale isn’t really moving.

I recommend paying close attention to the amount of reps you’re able to do and the pace you’re able to complete your workout. Your energy level might also improve after keeping with your workout. These are the types of signs that we often don’t notice!

Contrary to popular belief, I recommend getting the right amount of rest! Overworking your muscles can actually slow muscle growth. You may be stuck wondering why you’re not seeing improvement even though you feel like you’re pushing yourself. Knowing the facts before preparing your routine can only help you!
