How To Add Spices (Not Salt!) To Recipes For Flavor (As Seen On IGTV) 

Being Lebanese, I grew up eating traditional Lebanese meals. These meals were absolutely delicious and some of my fondest memories growing up as a child – but I always left them feeling swollen and bloated. Karina from The Karina Method hopped on Instagram Live with me to share some of the best ways to keep amazing flavor in foods while getting rid of the sodium!

 

While salt is one of the most common seasonings you will find, too much of it isn’t good for you. Karina shared the shocking statistic with me that most adults in the United States receive over 3x the recommended salt intake. THREE TIMES. 

Luckily, a few tweaks to any of your favorite recipes – Lebanese or not – and you’ll get amazing flavors without the sodium. Adding new spices to your spice rack can even give you extra medicinal properties to your meals as well!
