It’s no secret that traveling is a big part of my life. I live in Chicago but frequently hop on a plane to New York for work to head to the NBC News Better headquarters. I also frequently visit family in Naples, Florida.
Promoting a healthy lifestyle it’s essential for me to stay on track while traveling. This means doing travel friendly workouts as well as eating as clean as I can. While I can’t say I never have my favorite meal from a local restaurant I can’t typically get in Chicago or don’t enjoy a cocktail or two at dinner, it’s important to keep moderation in mind. Moderation is key when it comes to sticking to your health and wellness goals! When you focus on moderation you aren’t depriving yourself of your favorite things, meaning you’re less likely to blow your diet for your favorite ‘cheat meal’.
