NATURAL AWAKENINGS: How to practice mindfulness while working out

Working out can feel like another activity to check off your to-do list. But it doesn’t have to be. Practicing mindfulness while exercising can change your workout experience for the better, allowing you to enter a meditative state while training your body to remain focused. 

In correlation with mindfulness, fitness training can be taken to another level. Benefits include improved immunity, a happier mood, and a strengthened commitment to your workout. Being aware of your movements allows you to enjoy them more, making you more likely to feel successful in your routine and more motivated to continue.

It’s important to sync your breath with your movements, and I believe that workout time should be your “me” time. Acknowledging your movements and why you are doing them can only help you, so give it a shot!
