Stepping Up Your Workout With Jumps (as seen in the Chicago Sun Times)

If you’re looking for a simple way to step up your workout, try adding jumps to basic exercises you already know!

Adding jumps to basic exercises is a fantastic way to make an exercise have a higher impact on your body. Jumping is a very high impact exercise for your body, so it’s essential to have proper form when you do them in order to prevent long term damage to your joints. When you jump, make sure to slightly bend your knees as well as ensuring you are landing softly. If you land too hard, you will add extra stress to your joints and may cause tears in the muscle. As with any high impact exercise, it’s important to consult with a doctor or physician before adding jumps to your workouts.

I shared the best ways to add jumps to basic exercises in the Chicago Sun Times. Click here for the full list of exercises to add jumps to.
