Pilates Exercises to Relieve Back Pain (As seen in Today)

If you suffer from pain in your back, Pilates is a fantastic way to help relieve it. The best part is, a Pilates workout can be done in as little as 5 minutes. 

Suffering from back pain can be one of the most miserable feelings. As someone who has suffered from back pain myself, I know how helpless it can make you feel. Pilates exercises were the exercises that were able to make my back pain ease by helping to strengthen my core. One reason I always suggest Pilates exercises to my private weight loss clients is that all you need to do them is a soft surface such as a carpet or yoga mat if you have one laying around.

Best ways to Avoid Back Pain During Yoga (as seen on NBC News better)

Yoga is supposed to be a method of relieving your back pain, but if done improperly it can contribute to it. 

As someone who used to suffer from lower back pain, I always knew that there had to be a way to modify yoga in order to receive better results. Even when I used to practice yoga I was left with lower back pain that was difficult to ignore. After receiving my certification to become a yoga instructor, I researched small modifications that I could do to alleviate my pain during yoga. With these five small tweaks I was able to walk out of yoga class with less lower back pain than ever before!
