Health Hacks To Stay On Track (As Seen On ABC 7 Chicago) 

Tracking your weight loss is a fantastic way to see what weight loss strategies work for you as well as which exercises you enjoy more. 

One simple tip I give my private weight loss clients is to track what they’re eating and doing for weight loss. In the future, this helps them to look back and see what had the most impact on their bodies. I also encourage them to meal prep! When you meal prep, you’re essentially ensuring you’ll stick to your food plan. If you’re planning on going to a party or an event where you may indulge and have a cocktail or some sweets, having your dinner already meal prepped helps to ensure you’ll still be getting all the vitamins and nutrients you need. So instead of skipping out on the healthy food you have already prepared, you’ll be eating this in addition to the food you’re indulging yourself in.

New Year’s Resolution Hacks to Jumpstart Your Health Journey (As Seen In The Chicago Sun Times)

With 2020 upon us, it’s important to keep in mind that your health and fitness New Year’s resolutions are well within your reach. If you decide to make wellness a priority, you are sure to stay on track in 2020! 

Many of my private weight loss clients find themselves wondering what New Year’s resolutions they should have. Even though this varies from person to person, yoga is a fantastic place to start. Yoga is a great option for anyone who is looking to improve their fitness in the upcoming year because of how easily accessible yoga can be, as well as how many variations of yoga there are. There really is a form of yoga yoga that everyone can do, no matter their age! Yoga is also easily done in a home gym as well as on the go, making it a perfect choice for those who are limited on space. 

Another way to achieve your New Year’s resolutions is to be extremely specific. Why set the goal of ‘practicing yoga’ when you could set the goal of doing the yoga pose Bird of Paradise? Choosing to do the latter will help to visibly work towards your goals. Household Items to Intensify Your Workout (As seen in the Chicago Sun Times)

Just because you don’t have a medicine ball doesn’t mean you aren’t able to get the benefits from adding weights into your workout! 

 

When it comes to working out, I always tell my private weight loss clients to be resourceful. A weight such as a medicine ball can be substituted for common household items you already have. This helps to cut down on storage for gym equipment as well as save a little money. Surprisingly, one of the best substitutions for a medicine ball is in your refrigerator… a gallon of milk! A gallon of milk can be a fantastic substitution because it’s got a similar weight as well as a similar size. If you don’t have enough milk left, another substitution to try is a bottle of laundry detergent.
