The Best Way to Ease Neck and Shoulder Pain (As seen in the Chicago sun times)

Leaning over to check your latest text messages or emails may seem like a fun idea at the time, but doing this constantly can take a toll on your neck and shoulders! 

In a world of instant messages and constant communication many find themselves hunched over some sort of electronic all day. Whether you’re relaxing at home, on a flight, or even stuck at your desk – chances are you’re glued to some sort of electronic device! All of the leaning over can really put stress on your neck and shoulders, so it’s important to really take the time to stretch. Best Lunges for Summer Weight Loss (As seen on HLN)

Slimming down for Summer doesn’t have to take hours a day – you can take 5 minutes of your day to go outside and do lunges! 

Lunges are a common exercise because of how easily they can fit into anyones schedule. They require little space, little equipment, and even little time! A win all around. While stepping outside to do lunges in the fresh may be ideal, if this doesn’t fit into your schedule you can even do these from a hotel room. I always recommend my private weight loss clients take five minutes a day to get their bodies moving doing exercises like lunges and take that time for themselves. Best Ways to Relieve Pain of Plantar Fasciitis (As seen in NBC News better)

Plantar Fasciitis is one of the most common issues that people have with their feet. Over two million people are diagnosed with this condition every year! 

If you’ve ever experienced the pain of Plantar Fasciitis, you understand the shooting pain it can leave you with. There is no one cause for this condition, it can be worsened by a number of reasons such as weight gain, repetitive motions, and wearing shoes that aren’t the best for your feet. But Plantar Fasciitis doesn’t have to be caused by any factor, it can even occur naturally as your muscles tend to tighten over time. The best way to relieve the pain from Plantar Fasciitis is to stretch. Stretching can help to loosen the tendons in your feet, making the pain more bearable.

The Best Stretches for Runners Before & After a Run (As Seen in Chicago Sun Times)

No matter where you’re running, stretching is essential. It’s especially important to do dynamic stretches before you go for a run so that your body is prepared to keep moving! It’s also important to make sure you’re doing the proper stretches to calm your muscles after a run.

Stretching is an essential part of any workout routine, especially during the warm up. Dynamic stretches are great ways to help warm your body up, which also helps your body to get prepared for movement. It isn’t enough to just stretch before your workout though, it’s also very important to stretch after you run! The stretches you should do after a run are very different than the stretches you’d do before a run – you’ll want to hold your stretches.

When you are working out to lose weight and get fit, it’s important to be safe and take good care of your body. Stretching not only feels good, but it’s also something you never want to skip.

Fitness Coach Tips: Stretches for Golfers

Chicago women’s fitness coach Stephanie Mansour demonstrates stretches you can do on the golf course before your first round.

If you haven’t played golf in a while and you would like to return to “the club”, no shame! I am here to talk about five stretches to do before you take your first swing of the season. These stretches will help you to be fully physically prepared to golf.

It doesn’t matter what age you are or how experienced of a golfer you are. In my work as a fitness coach, I’ve found that golfers of any level and age can do these stretches.

For these stretches, we’ll be working the hamstring, the waist, torso, the hip flexor, the legs, lower back and the wrist. 

You can do them on the front lawn at home, in the golf cart or even in the club’s clubhouse.

You are susceptible to less injury during your game if you stretch before golfing, and you will feel more energized and prepared to take your first swing on the field!

Stretching is practice before you start your game, and practice makes perfect, eh?

That’s right, just like for any sport, it’s important to stay limber. Especially if you haven’t golfed in 6-9 months, we’ve got to loosen up some tight muscles to improve your golf game!
