How to Create a DIY Workout Plan (As seen on Successible Life)

Starting any workout plan can be scary, especially when you’re creating your own workout! It doesn’t have to seem so overwhelming though.

As a personal fitness trainer I love creating workout plans for my clients. It’s one of my favorite parts of my job! When I create custom workout plans I always make sure that the exercises I’m planning for them are well rounded. I incorporate a mix of different types of exercise such as yoga, pilates, and cardio! If you’re a beginner who wants to create their own workout plan, make sure you check out this article I wrote for Successible Life! I shared the four components that I utilize in every workout plan! Don’t Waste Your $ On a Personal Trainer!

Recently my client and I were interviewed for an article on MSN! You can read the full article HERE.

The article talks about mental barriers to being healthy and fit, and why wellness coaches are a new trend in health and fitness. As a body image & confidence coach, I specifically address these emotional issues and mental barriers so that you are excited and motivated to work out and eat healthy, FOR LIFE!

Here’s a quote from me: “Coaches want to know what drives you to follow through with the workouts on your own, how you feel when you eat junk food, what you think when you see yourself in the mirror. They ask probing questions to get to the bottom of why you’re not sticking to the plan. And then they work with you to re-engineer your thinking and behaviors to help you stay on track.”

Here’s a quote from my client: “As Stephanie was busting my chops making me work hard physically, she was also talking to me and challenging me to look at myself in new and different ways,” says Ahuja, who met with Mansour two or three times a week in addition to a weekly phone consultation. “I would talk about my ab muscles being dead and she would tell me that they were just sleeping, and that it was time to wake them back up. She completely changed my mental outlook. The effects of the C-sections weren’t something I consciously dwelled on, but it was clear I was carrying a lot of emotional baggage from them.”

Does this next part remind you of how YOU would be during a coaching call with me?! 🙂

When Ahuja dialed in for one of her first phone consultations with Mansour, she already had a plan for the chat. “I’m a bit type A and I had the agenda we would follow in mind. I thought ‘I’m going to share X, Y, and Z,'” she says. “I don’t even remember the exact question she asked me, but somehow I started talking about the C-sections scar and how my stomach looked and suddenly I was in tears. Everyone has mental barriers but until someone can relate to you and help you break through that barrier, you’re not going to meet your goal—and I hadn’t.”
