The Best 5-Minute Stretches to Increase Blood Flow (As Seen in NBC News Better)

Taking the time to stretch in your everyday life is essential. I encourage my private weight loss clients to do yoga-based stretching to help calm them down while also increasing blood flow. Doing this means they can cross two things off of their to-do list at once! When designing a stretch routine I made sure to create a sequence that could be done quickly and easily, in this case, the stretches can be done in under 5-minutes. These stretches focus on working your larger muscle groups that are essential for day to day life. Another aspect of these stretches is that they can be done anywhere. Even if you are traveling for work or are doing them from your living room. These exercises require no equipment aside from the suggested yoga mat. If you are about to do a workout, make sure you are doing the proper dynamic stretches that help to get your muscles prepared to move.
